MAGISTRATES COURT ACT 2004 - SECT 29
29 . Appeal from decisions of registrars
(1) A person
dissatisfied by a decision made by a registrar in the exercise of any of the
Court’s jurisdiction or powers delegated to the registrar under
section 28 may appeal to a magistrate.
(2) The appeal must be
commenced within 21 days after the date of the registrar’s decision and
be conducted in accordance with the rules of court.
(3) A magistrate may
extend the period in subsection (2) and may do so even if it has elapsed.
(4) The appeal is to
be by way of a new hearing of the issue that was before the registrar.
