Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Any person holding
office as a magistrate under the Magistrates Court Act 2004 , may be
appointed by the Governor to be a warden of mines and is thereby authorised
and empowered to preside in a warden’s court.

(4) A person who holds
office under Part 3 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 may,
with the consent of the Minister for Public Sector Management, be appointed to
hold or act in the office of a mining registrar notwithstanding that he is not
a person appointed to the Department pursuant to section 11 and that
person shall, whilst holding, acting in or performing the functions of the
office of mining registrar, be deemed for the purposes of this Act to be an
officer of the Department.
