Western Australian Consolidated Acts Subject to this Act, a
person is entitled to a licence if the person applies for a licence in the
prescribed form and in so doing transmits to the Board the prescribed
application fee, and proves to the satisfaction of the Board that
he —
(a) has
attained the age of 18 years;
(aa) has
not, during the period of 10 years before making the application, been
convicted of, or served any part of a term of imprisonment for, an offence in
Western Australia or elsewhere involving fraud or dishonesty;
(ab) is
not bound in relation to an offence referred to in paragraph (aa) by a
bail undertaking;
(ac)
does not have a charge pending in relation to an offence referred to in
paragraph (aa);
(b) has
obtained the prescribed certificate of competency, or is qualified to practise
as a surveyor in any reciprocating State and has complied with all the
requirements of this Act for the issue of a licence except for the requirement
to obtain a certificate of competency; and
(c) has
made a declaration before a justice in the form set out in the Third Schedule.
