Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) An application for
the grant or renewal of a local practising certificate must be —
(a) made
in an approved form; and
(b)
accompanied by the fees prescribed by the legal profession rules and the
Guarantee Fund contribution, if any, required under this Act.
(2) Different fees may
be set for local practising certificates according to different factors as
prescribed by the legal profession rules.
(3) The approved form
may require the applicant to disclose matters that may affect the
applicant’s eligibility for the grant or renewal of a local practising
certificate or the question whether the applicant is a fit and proper person
to hold a local practising certificate.
(4) The approved form
may indicate that particular kinds of matters previously disclosed in a
particular manner need not be disclosed for the purposes of the current
application.
