Western Australian Consolidated Acts A person commits an
offence, if —
(a)
without the authority and consent of the owner of the cattle he works or uses
cattle impounded in a public pound; or
(b) not
being the keeper of the public pound or the owner of the animal, or a person
authorised to do so by the poundkeeper or owner, he milks a cow or goat
impounded in a public pound,
and is liable to a
minimum penalty of $4, and a maximum penalty of $80 for the offence and shall
in addition pay to the owner of the animal such sum as a court of summary
jurisdiction, at the hearing of the charge, decides is just and reasonable for
the owner’s compensation and cost, and orders him to pay to the owner.
