3 Under the Acts Amendment (Public Service) Act 1987 s. 31(1)(f) a reference in a written law to “Permanent Head” is, unless the contrary intention appears, to be construed as if it had been amended to be a reference to chief executive officer. This reference was changed under the Reprints Act 1984 s. 7(5)(a).

4 The Local Government Grants Amendment Act 1988 s. 7 reads as follows:


7. Saving

Anything done before the commencement of this Act by the Commission in accordance with the Local Government (Financial Assistance) Act 1986 of the Commonwealth is valid notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the principal Act as in force before the commencement of this Act.
