LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1995 - SECT 4.65
4.65 . Right to vote
(1) An elector may
vote at the election if the elector’s name —
(a) is
on the electoral roll used for the election; or
(b) was
omitted in error from the electoral roll used for the election.
(2) If an
elector’s name has changed, the reference in subsection (1) to the
elector’s name includes a reference to the former name.
(3) A person who is
not an elector, or who is under 18 years of age on election day, cannot vote
at the election even if the person’s name is on the electoral roll used
for the election.
