LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1995 - SECT 4.64

4.64 .         Public notice about election

        (1)         As soon as practicable after preparations for the election have been completed (but not later than on the 26 th day before election day) Statewide public notice about the election must be given in accordance with regulations including details of how, when and where the election will be conducted and who the candidates are.

        (1A)         The Statewide public notice must be given by —

            (a)         the Electoral Commissioner if the Electoral Commissioner is responsible for the conduct of the election; or

            (b)         the returning officer in any other case.

        (2)         The Statewide public notice is called the election notice .
