Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The body corporate
constituted under section 5 of the Lotteries (Control) Act 1954 and
named the “Lotteries Commission” is preserved and continues in
existence for the purposes of this Act as a body corporate retaining the same
corporate name, corporate identity and common seal.
(2) The Commission is
a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and is capable
of —
(a)
acquiring, holding and disposing of real and personal property;
(b)
suing and being sued; and
(c)
doing and suffering all such acts and things as bodies corporate may lawfully
do and suffer.
(3) The Commission is
an agent of the Crown in right of the State and enjoys the status, immunities
and privileges of the Crown.
