Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A person who, with
intent to defraud, takes, or by any fraudulent trick, scheme or device
converts to that person’s own use, or to the use of any other person,
any prize or moneys raised by a lottery, commits an offence.
(2) A person who, with
intent to defraud —
(a)
alters or falsifies any book, document, or voucher relating to a lottery;
(b)
makes or concurs in making any false or fraudulent entry in any book,
document, or voucher relating to a lottery; or
(c)
omits or concurs in omitting any material particular from any book, document,
or voucher relating to a lottery,
commits an offence.
(3) A person who,
without the written authority of the Commission, for fee or reward promotes or
takes part in the formation of a syndicate to pay to participate in a lottery
conducted by the Commission commits an offence.
(4) A person who
commits an offence under this section is liable to a penalty of $5 000,
or imprisonment for one year, or both.
