Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister is to
appoint a member as the deputy chairperson of the Commission.
(2) The deputy
chairperson may act as chairperson —
(a) in
the absence of the chairperson; or
(b) if
so requested by the chairperson; or
(c)
during a vacancy in the office of chairperson.
(3) While acting as
chairperson the deputy chairperson has, and may perform, the functions of
chairperson.
(4) No act or omission
of a person acting in the place of the chairperson under this section is to be
questioned on the ground that the occasion for acting had not arisen or had
ceased.
