LIQUOR CONTROL ACT 1988 - SECT 98E
98E . Club licence and club restricted licence, permitted hours under
(1) The permitted
hours under a club licence (other than a club restricted licence), excluding
Good Friday, Christmas Day or ANZAC Day, are —
(a) on a
day other than a Sunday —
(i)
from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight; and
(ii)
then continuing, if the following day is other than a
Sunday or New Year’s Day, to 12.30 a.m., but only for liquor sold
ancillary to a meal supplied by or on behalf of the licensee;
(b) on a
Sunday that is not New Year’s Eve —
(i)
from immediately after 12 midnight on the previous day to
1 a.m.; and
(ii)
from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
(c) on a
Sunday that is New Year’s Eve —
(i)
from immediately after 12 midnight on the previous day to
1 a.m.; and
(ii)
from 10 a.m. to 12 midnight;
(d) on
New Year’s Day — from immediately after 12 midnight on the
previous day to 2 a.m. and then in accordance with paragraph (a) or (b)(ii),
as the case requires.
(2) The permitted
hours under a club licence (other than a club restricted licence) on Good
Friday, Christmas Day and ANZAC Day are —
(a) on
Good Friday — from immediately after 12 midnight on the previous day to
12.30 a.m., but only for liquor sold ancillary to a meal supplied by or on
behalf of the licensee;
(b) on
Christmas Day —
(i)
from immediately after 12 midnight on the previous day to
12.30 a.m.; and
(ii)
from 12 noon to 10 p.m.,
but only for liquor
sold ancillary to a meal supplied by or on behalf of the licensee;
(c) on
ANZAC Day —
(i)
that is a Sunday — from immediately after 12
midnight on the previous day to 1 a.m. and from 12 noon to 12 midnight; or
(ii)
that is not a Sunday — from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
(3) The permitted
hours under a club licence (other than a club restricted licence) for the sale
of liquor to a lodger who is a member of the club are unrestricted.
(4) The permitted
hours under a club restricted licence are as specified in the particular
licence.
