163 . Sale of liquor, presumption of in some cases
(1) Where liquor is
supplied to a person who —
(a) has
paid for admission to the premises where the liquor is supplied or for seating
in the premises; or
(b) has
made, or been asked to make, a donation of money, by a collection or
otherwise; or
(c) is
present in an unlicensed restaurant,
the liquor is, in the
absence of proof to the contrary, deemed to have been sold to the person to
whom it was so supplied.
(2) A person who,
being a dealer in goods other than liquor, gives away or delivers any liquor
to a customer for other goods, or under pretence of a person being a customer
for other goods, or under any pretence whatever, is deemed to have sold the
liquor given away or delivered.
