LEGAL AID COMMISSION ACT 1976 - SECT 68
68 . State may enter into agreements and arrangements
The State may from
time to time enter into an agreement or arrangement with the Commonwealth for
or with respect to —
(a) the
moneys to be made available by the Commonwealth, or by the State and the
Commonwealth, for the purposes of legal assistance;
(b) the
priorities to be observed in the provision of legal assistance as between
classes of persons or classes of matters, or both;
(c) the
transfer to the staff of the Commission of persons who are Commonwealth
employees within the meaning of section 77;
(ca) the
sharing of —
(i)
the costs of establishing the Commission; and
(ii)
operational costs incurred in the provision of legal
assistance by the Commission;
(d) any
matter incidental to a matter mentioned in paragraph (a), (b), (c) or (ca).
