Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A consultative
committee shall consist of —
(a) a
person who is a member of the Law Society;
(b) an
officer of the Commission; and
(c) such
other persons as the Attorney General considers appropriate.
(2) A member of a
consultative committee —
(a)
shall be appointed by the Attorney General;
(b)
shall hold office for such period, not exceeding 2 years, as is specified
in the instrument of his appointment, but is eligible for reappointment;
(c) may
resign his office by writing signed by him and delivered to the Attorney
General.
(3) In selecting
persons to be appointed as members of a consultative committee established in
respect of a particular locality, the Attorney General shall have regard to
the desirability of selecting persons living, or carrying on a business,
profession or trade, in that locality.
