Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The responsible
authority shall, within 14 days of making a decision, communicate the
decision to each person affected by the decision.
(2) The communication
of a decision to a person affected by it shall be effected
by —
(a)
giving to the person a document setting out the terms of the decision; or
(b)
sending such a document to the person —
(i)
by post to the address of the person last known to the
responsible authority; or
(ii)
in any other way authorised by the person.
(3) The responsible
authority may, of its own motion, and shall, if so requested by that person,
provide a person affected by a decision with a short statement of the reasons
for the decision.
(4) In this
section —
responsible authority , in relation to a decision
made by —
(a) a
legal aid committee, means the legal aid committee;
(b) an
officer of the Commission, means the officer of the Commission; or
(c) the
Commission, means the Commission.
