Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Where a private
practitioner performs or has performed legal services on behalf of an assisted
person he shall not accept any payment for performing those services other
than the payment or payments to which he is entitled under section 14(1)
or under an agreement under section 14(1a).
(2) Notwithstanding
subsection (1) a private practitioner may accept other payments in
respect of legal services performed for an assisted person if acceptance of
the payments is approved by the Director and any conditions imposed by the
Director in relation to the approval are complied with.
