Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may
by notice published in the Gazette —
(a)
appoint a person employed in or by a public authority who is a licensed
surveyor within the meaning of the Licensed Surveyors Act 1909 to be an
authorised land officer and to perform such functions as are conferred or
imposed on an authorised land officer by this Act or any other Act; and
(b)
exercise in relation to such an appointment any power conferred by
section 52(1) of the Interpretation Act 1984 .
(2) In this
section —
public authority means —
(a) a
department of the Public Service; or
(b) a
body, whether corporate or unincorporate, established for a public purpose
under a written law.
