HUMAN REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY ACT 1991 - SECT 56
56 . Complaints for simple offence
(1) All proceedings
for a simple offence under this Act shall be —
(a)
instituted in the name of the CEO; and
(b)
dealt with by a court constituted by a magistrate.
(2) A prosecution for
an offence under this Act may be commenced until 5 years have elapsed since
the date on which the offence was allegedly committed, but not thereafter.
