Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Subject to this
Act —
(a) the
Council;
(b) a
public authority; or
(c) a
body corporate approved for the specific purpose by the Minister,
may on behalf of the
Crown purchase or otherwise acquire by consent any property or interest in
property, and deal with that property or interest, where in the opinion of the
Minister that is necessary or desirable for the proper discharge of the duties
imposed by this Act.
(2) Any property or
interest to which subsection (1) applies which is to be held otherwise
than by a temporary custodian shall be made the subject of a Heritage
Agreement, if that is practicable.
