HOME BUILDING CONTRACTS ACT 1991 - SECT 34
34 . Review of Act
(1) The Minister must
carry out a review of the operation and effectiveness of this Act as soon as
is practicable after the expiration of 2 years from its commencement.
(2) Without limiting
subsection (1), in carrying out a review under that subsection, the Minister
must consult with and have regard to the views of the Housing Industry
Association Western Australian Division, the Master Builders Association of
Western Australia, the Institute of Arbitrators Australia (WA Chapter) and the
Royal Australian Institute of Architects (WA Chapter), and persons who are
representative of owners.
(3) The Minister must
prepare a report based on the review made under subsection (1) and must, as
soon as is practicable after the preparation thereof, cause the report to be
laid before each House of Parliament.
