Western Australian Consolidated Acts For the purpose of
receiving, storing, disinfecting, deodorising, purifying, distributing, or
otherwise disposing of sewage, a local government may —
(1) construct any
works in the district or (subject to the provisions of this Act) beyond the
district;
(2) contract for the
use of, purchase, or take on lease any land, buildings, engines, materials, or
apparatus either within or beyond the district;
(3) make contracts for
the supply of sewage to any person for any period not exceeding 25 years,
and as to the execution and cost of works, either in or beyond the district,
for the purpose of such supply:
Provided that no
nuisance shall be created in the exercise of any of the powers conferred by
this section.
