Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts If the local
government does not appoint a medical officer of health, environmental health
officer, or analyst, the Executive Director, Public Health may, with the
approval of the Governor, appoint such officer and fix his remuneration; and
the amount so fixed shall be a charge upon the municipal fund, and shall be
paid to the officer by the local government, and in default of payment may be
recovered by him in any court of competent jurisdiction.
