FAIR TRADING ACT 2010 - SECT 65
65 . Certificate of authority of investigator
(1) The Commissioner
is to provide each investigator with a document, signed by the Commissioner,
certifying that the person is entitled to exercise the powers of an
investigator.
(2) A person to whom a
document is provided under this section and who ceases to be an investigator
must return the document to the Commissioner as soon as practicable.
(3) A person who
contravenes subsection (2) without reasonable excuse, the onus of proving
which is on the person, commits an offence.
Penalty: a fine of $1 000.
