Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Except as provided
by subsection (2), the regulations may prescribe a code of practice
that —
(a) has
been submitted to the Minister in accordance with section 42; and
(b) has
been approved by the Minister with or without amendments.
(2) A code of practice
may be prescribed as an interim code of practice to remain in force for a
specified period not exceeding 6 months.
(3) An interim code of
practice has effect while it remains in force even if no action in relation to
the code has been, or is, taken or concluded in accordance with
section 42.
(4) Nothing in this
section shall authorise the continuation of a code of practice beyond
3 years from the date it first took effect, unless a review, in
accordance with section 42, has been undertaken of that code of practice
within that time.
