Western Australian Consolidated Acts Except as provided in
section 91, a person must not —
(a)
engage in aquaculture;
(b) if
the person is the owner or occupier of private land, sell fish in, or taken
from, waters on that land;
(c)
receive or purchase, for the purpose of sale or resale, from the owner or
occupier of private land, fish in, or taken from, waters on that land; or
(d) if
the person is not the owner or occupier of private land, take fish from waters
on that land for the purpose of sale,
unless the person is
authorised to do so by an aquaculture licence.
Penalty: In the case of an individual, for a first
offence $5 000 and for any subsequent offence $10 000 or, in the
case of a body corporate, for a first offence $10 000 and for any
subsequent offence $20 000.
