Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may,
by instrument in writing, establish an advisory committee for a fishery
consisting of such persons as the Minister thinks fit.
(2) The function of an
advisory committee is to provide information and advice to the Minister on
matters related to the protection and management of the fishery.
(3) The instrument
establishing an advisory committee —
(a) must
identify the fishery for which the committee is established and the members of
the committee;
(b) may
provide for any other matter that, in the Minister’s opinion, is
necessary for the operation of the committee.
(4) The Minister may,
by further instrument in writing, amend or revoke an instrument made under
this section.
(5) An advisory
committee may be established under this section for a fishery whether or not a
management plan is in force in respect of that fishery.
