FISH RESOURCES MANAGEMENT ACT 1994 - SECT 200
200 . Obstructing etc. fisheries officers
A person must not
—
(a) fail
to facilitate by all reasonable means the boarding of a boat by a fisheries
officer;
(b)
abuse, threaten or insult a fisheries officer when the fisheries officer is
performing any duty, or exercising any power, under this Act;
(c)
assault, hinder or obstruct a fisheries officer when the fisheries officer is
performing any duty, or exercising any power, under this Act;
(d)
incite or encourage another person to do anything referred to in paragraph (b)
or (c);
(e)
impersonate a fisheries officer;
(f)
without reasonable excuse, refuse to allow a search to be made that is
authorised under this Act.
Penalty: In the case of an individual, $10 000 and
imprisonment for one year or, in the case of a body corporate, $20 000.
