FISH RESOURCES MANAGEMENT ACT 1994 - SECT 176
176 . False statements in applications
A person must not make
any statement or provide any information in, or in connection with, an
application under this Act that —
(a) the
person knows is false or misleading in a material particular; or
(b)
omits anything without which the statement or information is, to the
person’s knowledge, misleading in a material particular.
Penalty: In the case of an individual, $25 000 and
imprisonment for 12 months.
In the case of a body
corporate, $50 000.
