Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A person who
wishes to obtain access to one or more documents of an agency (other than an
exempt agency) may make an application to the agency.
(2) If the
circumstances of the applicant require it, an agency has to take reasonable
steps to help a person to make an access application to the appropriate agency
in a manner that complies with this Act.
(3) In particular, if
an application does not comply with the requirements of section 12 the
agency has to take reasonable steps under subsection (2) to help the
applicant to change the application so that it complies with those
requirements.
