FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 1992 - SECT 106
106 . Personal liability, certain people protected from
(1) A matter or thing
done by —
(a) an
agency or the principal officer of an agency; or
(b) a
person acting under the direction of an agency or the principal officer of an
agency,
does not subject the
principal officer or any person so acting personally to any action, liability,
claim or demand so long as the matter or thing was done in good faith for the
purposes of giving effect to this Act.
(2) Subsection (1)
applies even if, in giving access to a document, there has been a failure to
comply with Division 3 of Part 2.
