Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) In performing any
of its functions, the Authority may use, and operate under, a name (an
operational name ) —
(a) set
out in subsection (2); or
(b)
approved or amended under subsection (3).
(2) The following
names are operational names —
(a) Bush
Fire Service of Western Australia;
(b) FESA
Fire and Emergency Services;
(c) FESA
Fire Services;
(d) Fire
and Rescue Service of Western Australia;
(e)
State Emergency Service; and
(f)
Volunteer Marine Rescue Services.
(3) The Minister may
by order published in the Gazette —
(a)
approve other operational names; or
(b)
amend, or cancel the use of, an operational name.
(4) If a group of
persons (a brigade ) is both a bush fire brigade under the
Bush Fires Act 1954 and a volunteer brigade under the
Fire Brigades Act 1942 , the brigade may, with the approval of the
Authority, operate under the name FESA Fire Services Brigade or any other name
approved by the Authority.
