FOOD ACT 2008 - SECT 14
14 . Handling of food in unsafe manner
(1) A person must not
handle food intended for sale in a manner that the person knows will render,
or is likely to render, the food unsafe.
Penalty:
(a) for
an individual — a fine of $100 000 and imprisonment for 2 years;
(b) for
a body corporate — a fine of $500 000.
(2) A person must not
handle food intended for sale in a manner that the person ought reasonably to
know is likely to render the food unsafe.
Penalty:
(a) for
an individual — a fine of $75 000;
(b) for
a body corporate — a fine of $375 000.
