Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The regulations
may provide that, for prescribed categories of firearms or ammunition, an
approval or permit cannot be granted, and a licence cannot be issued, under
this Act to a person unless the Commissioner is satisfied that the person has
a genuine need to acquire or possess a firearm or ammunition of that category.
(2) The regulations
may make provision as to the circumstances in which a person can or cannot be
considered to have a genuine need to acquire or possess a firearm or
ammunition of a particular category.
