2 The Statutes (Repeals and Minor
Amendments) Act 2000 s. 13(3) amended s. 14 of this Act to
increase the maximum period for which an education service provider can be
registered from 3 to 5 years. Section 13(4) of that amending Act reads as
follows:
“
(4) The chief executive officer (as defined in section 3(1) of the
Act) may extend the period of registration of an education service provider
registered under the Act, as in force before the commencement of this section,
but any extension of the period of registration is not to exceed
2 years.
”.
