Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The funds
available to the Council for the purpose of enabling it to exercise its
powers, authorities, duties and functions under this
Act are —
(a)
moneys from time to time appropriated by Parliament for that purpose;
(b)
moneys received by the University by way of fees, charges, gifts, bequests or
otherwise whether paid or made to the University or the Council;
(c)
moneys borrowed by the University for the purposes of this Act; and
(d)
moneys made available to the Council or the University for the purposes of
this Act.
(2) An account called
the Edith Cowan University Account is to be established —
(a) as
an agency special purpose account under section 16 of the Financial
Management Act 2006 ; or
(b) with
the approval of the Treasurer, at a bank as defined in section 3 of that
Act,
to which the moneys
referred to in subsection (1) are to be credited.
(3) The Council shall
apply the funds standing to the credit of the Edith Cowan University Account
pursuant to and only for the purposes of this Act.
