Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) For the purposes
of this Act there may be established and maintained in the
University —
(a) an
organized association of academic staff; and
(b) an
organized association of other salaried staff,
and those associations
shall be the recognised means of communication between academic staff, and
other salaried staff, respectively, and the Council, but for those purposes
there shall not be at the same time more than one such association of academic
staff, and one such association of other salaried staff.
(2) The primary
function of an association maintained under subsection (1) shall be to
further the common interests of its members.
