Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Subject to
subsection (2), a candidate may withdraw his nomination by lodging with
the Returning Officer notice in writing of withdrawal of his nomination at any
time before the hour of nomination, and thereupon the nomination shall be
cancelled and the deposit lodged with the nomination shall be forfeited to the
Crown.
(2) Where 2 or more
candidates for an election in a region are included in a group, a candidate
included in the group shall not, under subsection (1), withdraw his
nomination except with the consent of the other or others.
