ELECTORAL ACT 1907 - SECT 188

188 .         Illegal practices, penalties for

        (1)         Bribery or undue influence is punishable —

            (a)         if the offence relates to an early ballot paper or early vote, by imprisonment for 2 years;

            (b)         in any other case, by imprisonment for 12 months.

        (2)         Any other illegal practice is punishable —

            (a)         if the offence relates to an early ballot paper or early vote, by imprisonment for 12 months;

            (b)         in any other case, by a fine of $6 000.
