DOG ACT 1976 - SECT 26D
26D . Notice to be given of changes to recorded information
The owner of a dog
must give notice in writing —
(a) to
the local government with which the dog is registered, if there is a change to
any of the information prescribed under section 14(3) in respect of the dog;
and
(b) to
the microchip database company for that dog, if there is a change to any of
the information prescribed under section 24 in respect of the dog,
within 7 days after
the change to the information.
Penalty: a fine of $5 000.
