DOG ACT 1976 - SECT 16AA
16AA . Owner’s delegate
(1) The registered
owner of a dog may, in writing given to the local government with which the
dog is registered, appoint a person who has reached 18 years of age to act as
the owner’s delegate.
(2) A local government
may deal with the owner’s delegate instead of the owner in the
circumstances specified in this Act.
(3) An appointment
under subsection (1) must be in a prescribed form.
(4) An appointment
under subsection (1) may be terminated in writing by either the registered
owner or the appointed person.
(5) An appointment
under subsection (1) ceases to have effect when the person who made the
appointment ceases to be the registered owner of the dog.
