COMMUNITY PROTECTION (OFFENDER REPORTING) ACT 2004 - SECT 80G
80G . Exchange of information between Commissioner and WA Registrar
(1) The Commissioner
must notify the WA Registrar —
(a) of
the name (including any other name by which the reportable offender is or has
previously been known of which the Commissioner is aware) and date of birth of
every reportable offender; and
(b) of
an application made to the Commissioner to approve a change of name
application.
(2) Without limiting
section 80E(2), the WA Registrar may notify the Commissioner of an application
made to the WA Registrar to register a change of name that the WA Registrar
suspects may relate to the name of a reportable offender.
(3) The WA Registrar
must maintain the confidentiality of any information given by the Commissioner
under this Part.
(4) This section has
effect despite any written or other law to the contrary.
