COMMUNITY PROTECTION (OFFENDER REPORTING) ACT 2004 - SECT 49
49 . Reporting period for corresponding reportable offenders
(1) Despite anything
in this Part, a corresponding reportable offender must continue to comply with
the reporting obligations imposed by this Part for —
(a) the
period (the recognised foreign reporting period ) referred to in
section 7(b)(i); or
(b) the
period that, apart from this section, he or she would be required to report
under this Act,
whichever is the
longer period.
(2) For the purposes
of this section, if a corresponding reportable offender is a corresponding
reportable offender under the laws of more than one jurisdiction, the
recognised foreign reporting period is the longest period for which he or she
would be required to report to the corresponding registrar of a foreign
jurisdiction.
