COMMUNITY PROTECTION (OFFENDER REPORTING) ACT 2004 - SECT 101
101 . Failure to comply with orders
(1) A person subject
to a protection order who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with the
protection order commits a crime.
Penalty: imprisonment for 5 years.
Summary conviction penalty: a fine of $12 000 and
imprisonment for 2 years.
(2A) Subsection (1)
does not apply in relation to a failure to comply with an order of the
Commissioner under section 94A(1) to undergo assessment or treatment.
(2) A police officer
who suspects on reasonable grounds that a person has committed an offence
under subsection (1) may, without a warrant, arrest the person.
