Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may,
in respect of each member of the Committee other than the Chairman, appoint a
person to be deputy to that member and a person so appointed is, in the event
of the absence from any meeting of that member, entitled to attend that
meeting of the Committee and, when so attending, is deemed to be a member and
has all the powers and duties of a member.
(2) If at any time the
office of a member becomes vacant, the person who is at that time the deputy
of that member is, until the office of that member is filled by the
appointment of another person as member, deemed to be a member and has all the
powers and duties of a member.
(3) The provisions of
section 21(1)(b), (c), (d), (e) and (f), and of section 23, that
apply to and in relation to the appointment of a member apply, with any
necessary modification, to and in relation to the appointment of the deputy of
that member.
