Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Subject to
subsection (2), a person employed in the Department shall not hold or be
interested in any permit, licence, or lease under this Act, nor as principal
or agent trade in, or be interested in, any contract or agreement for the
working or removal of any forest produce.
(2) For the purposes
of section 34A or 34B, the Minister may in writing approve of the CEO or
other officer of the Department, on behalf of or as representative of the CEO,
entering into any transaction or holding any right, title or interest or
accepting appointment to any office; and subsection (1) does not apply to
the CEO or other officer of the Department while he is acting in accordance
with such an approval.
