Western Australian Consolidated Acts No action or other
legal proceedings shall lie or be maintained against the President of the
Legislative Council, or the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, or against
the Chairman of Committees, or other officer of either House of Parliament, or
any member of the Police Force, for anything done by, or under the warrant, or
by the direction of, such President, Speaker, or other officer, under or
purporting to be under the standing orders or any other order or resolution of
the House in which he presides, or of which he is an officer, as the case may
be, or under or purporting to be under the provisions of “An
Act for defining the Privileges, Immunities, and Powers of the
Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia,
respectively.” 3 .
