Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A park management
officer may require a person to leave designated land if the park management
officer —
(a)
finds the person committing an offence against the regulations; or
(b)
believes on reasonable grounds that an emergency situation exists on the land.
(2) A person must not
remain on designated land after being required to leave the land under
subsection (1).
Penalty: $2 000.
(3) If a person
contravenes subsection (2), a police officer may remove, or make
arrangements for the removal of, the person from designated land and if
necessary detain the person for the purpose of effecting his or her removal.
(4) A park management
officer who is not a police officer may detain a person who has contravened
subsection (2) until the person can be delivered to a police officer for
removal under subsection (3).
(5) In this
section —
emergency situation means a fire or other
occurrence that endangers, or is likely to endanger, public safety.
