BUSH FIRES ACT 1954 - SECT 42
42 . Local governments may join in establishing bush fire brigade
(1) Two or more local
governments may by agreement join in establishing, maintaining, and equipping
with appliances, equipment and apparatus, a bush fire brigade to act as the
bush fire brigade of each local government under and for the purposes of this
Act.
(2) The bush fire
brigade and its members shall be registered as provided for in section 41, but
the application for registration may be made by any one local government a
party to the agreement on behalf of the local governments which are parties to
the agreement.
