Act extends to any appearance in a court for an
offence —
(a)
except to the extent that in this Act, or in the law creating the offence or
applicable thereto, express provision is made excluding or limiting the
operation of this Act in respect of that appearance;
(b)
whether or not that law contains a reference to the granting of bail;
(c)
however any reference in that law to the granting of bail may be expressed;
and
(d) as
if any reference therein to the taking of a recognizance were to a requirement
that, except where bail is dispensed with under this Act, the accused enter
into a bail undertaking.
